Delhi registered 2,419 Covid cases on Friday, the highest in six months, with a 12.95 percent positivity rate, while two more people died as a result of the disease, according to health department data.

It was the third consecutive day that the daily number of COVID-19 cases crossed the 2000 mark.

Delhi registered 2,202 Covid cases on Thursday, with a positivity rate of 11.84 percent, while four more people died as a result of the disease.

This was also the fourth day in a row that the positivity rate crossed the 10 percent mark.

The new cases came from 18,685 Covid tests conducted in the city on Thursday.

With the new infections on Friday, the number of COVID-19 cases in the national capital rose to 19,64,793, while the death toll reached 26,327.
