An attorney for former Vice President Mike Pence discovered about a dozen documents marked classified in Pence’s Indiana home last week, and he turned those classified documents over to the FBI, multiple sources familiar with the case told TSTIME.
The FBI and the Justice Department’s National Security Division have launched an investigation into the documents and how they ended up at Pence’s Indiana home.

Pence, like Biden, voluntarily turned over the classified documents to the FBI. The former vice president ordered house searches as a precaution.
The situations with Pence and Biden differ from Donald Trump’s in that both men turned over the classified documents to authorities as soon as they were found. Neither the current president nor the former vice president claimed ownership of the documents or attempted to fight the DOJ over their return.
The Pence classified documents news should take some wind out of the sails of Republicans trying to turn the Biden story into a major scandal.
The fact that both Pence and Biden complied with the law and handed over the documents right away illustrates just how criminal Donald Trump’s behavior is
