President Biden and Senate Democrats are confirming justices at a record pace, as Biden has the most justices confirmed at this point since JFK.
Senate Majority Leader Schumer’s office said in a press release provided to PoliticusUSA:
Senate Democrats have made historic progress in confirming President Biden’s historically diverse and qualified slate of nominees for the federal bench. Thanks to the tireless work of Senate Democrats, President Biden has had more circuit and district court nominees confirmed at this point in his term than any president since John F. Kennedy.
Senate Democrats have pledged to rebuild the federal justice system with professionally and personally diverse judges, affirming the historic number of public defenders and civil rights lawyers as well as fourteen black women justices on the federal bench, more than any former president at this point, including the first black female Supreme Court justice, Ketanji Brown Jackson. In fact, seventy-five percent of judges confirmed by this Senate are women and nearly two-thirds are people of color, ensuring that the federal judiciary better reflects America’s diversity.
Here is the graphic from Schumer’s office:
The pace of Biden’s court confirmations has accelerated. The president had the most justices confirmed in 40 years, and now the Democrats have picked up the pace, and Biden now has more confirmations than any president since JFK at this point in his term.
Trump has constantly bragged about how many judges he has confirmed, but President Biden blows it out of the water.
The media doesn’t report it, but President Biden is making history and restoring the courts.
