England is preparing for the upcoming test series against Pakistan. The team, led by Ollie Pope, is now in Abu Dhabi for an exhibition game against the England Lions. While the batsmen enjoyed hitting the flat deck of Tolerance Oval, the wicket-keepers found it difficult to keep the ball in play after delivery, especially for spinners.

But like Ben Foakes, the England wicket-keeper was at his best and made fantastic saves from behind the wicket. In addition, Foakes performed an excellent stumping that shocked everyone. The ball did enough to worry the batter when Will Jacks bowled off-spin.

The England wicket-keeper did an excellent job catching the ball on one of the deliveries, despite the ball spinning sharply. He added to the excitement by firing the ball back to the stumps, seeing the batter well beyond the popping crease.

Ollie Pope returned to England’s batting and led the team from the front with a 120-ball 146. Will Jacks and Zak Crawley both made valuable contributions, Crawley was four runs short of his century, but Jacks made an 84 from 48 balls. Ben Foakes added a usable 48(62).

Meanwhile, England’s best pacer, Jofra Archer, was back in action and bowling at a decent pace. Archer bowled nine overs for the England Lions, conceding 38 runs but failing to take a wicket. Archer, on the other hand, once knocked off Crawley’s helmet with a sharp bouncer.
