Gasoline and Diesel Prices Today: The prices of gasoline and diesel were raised Thursday, October 14, after a break of two consecutive days. In the nation’s capital, gasoline and diesel prices jumped 35 paise to cost Rs 104.79 and Rs 93.52 per liter respectively, according to Indian Oil Corporation. Prior to that, rates were last revised on Monday.
In Mumbai, the price of gasoline increased by 34 paise to cost Rs 110.75 per liter, while diesel prices increased by 37 paise to cost Rs 101.40 per liter. Among the four metropolitan cities, fuel prices are the highest in Mumbai, according to the state-run oil refiner. Rates vary from state to state due to value added tax or VAT.

State-run oil refiners such as Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum review fuel prices daily, taking into account crude oil prices in international markets and rupee-to-dollar exchange rates. Any change in gasoline and diesel prices is implemented from 6 a.m. every day.
Globally, Brent crude rose 0.12% to $ 83.28 a barrel, while U.S. crude rose 1.69% to $ 80.69.
