Indian boxer Nikhat Zareen will face Thailand’s Jitpong Jutamas in the final of the 52kg event at the World Women’s Boxing Championships in Istanbul on Thursday. Nikhat took a comprehensive 5-0 victory over Brazil’s Caroline De Almeida in the semi-finals. Six-time world champion Mary Kom, Sarita Devi, Jenny RL and Lekha C are the only Indian female boxers to win the title and now Nikhat has a chance to join the elite roster.
