Speaking to PTI, Akshay stated that clashes in the box office are now inevitable due to the pandemic. He said: “The box office clashes are going to happen and it’s because of COVID-19. There are a lot of movies that have already been completed but they couldn’t come out. Now you can’t avoid it. I hope both movies do well the cash register.” Well, this is not the first time for Kumar, his film usually clashes with other biggies like Welcome- Taare Zameen Par, Blue- All The Best, Action Replayy- Golmaal 3 and Gold- Satyameva Jayate. Akshay further asserted his views on Bollywood films, saying: “It’s not just about ‘Raksha Bandhan’, it’s about every film. I want every film in our industry to work. The film industry requires its films to run in a way that they can keep making movies, especially big movies.” This year Akshay had a dull run at the box office while his Bachchhan Paandey and Samrat Prithviraj drank at the box office. Raksha Bandhan thus also becomes a pivotal film for Kumar.
