After party leader Aam Aadmi Sanjay Singh met with party leader Samajwadi Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Thursday their meeting was on Uttar Pradesh politics.
Sanjay Singh had met Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday, sparking speculation about an alliance between the two parties for the general elections in Uttar Pradesh early next year.
The meeting came a day after RLD leader Jayant Chaudhary met Akhilesh Yadav amid indications of an alliance between the two parties for the legislative elections.
Sanjay Singh said in a tweet that a successful meeting had taken place with the aim of defeating the ruling BJP in the state.
“To free Uttar Pradesh from the mismanagement of the BJP, there was a fruitful meeting with the national president of the Samajwadi Party, Akhilesh Yadavji. A discussion took place on similar issues. Many thanks to Akhilesh YadavI am. Uttar Pradesh must be freed from the BJP dictatorship, ”he said.
Samajwadi party leader Akhilesh Yadav tweeted a photo of him meeting Sanjay Singh and AAP MP Dilip Pandey and said: “A meeting for change!”
Sanjay Singh responded to Mr Yadav’s tweet and said: “A revolution against dictatorship for progress and change! Akhilesh YadavI am, thank you very much for the meeting and the fruitful discussion. “
Speaking to the media after his meeting with the SP leader, Singh said if talks take place for an alliance, then the information will be shared.
Earlier, speaking to the media, Kejriwal said he had ordered the deposit of 5,000 rupees each into the bank accounts of construction workers for a ban on construction activities due to the air pollution.
