Survivor UK opens applications for upcoming series after the TSTIME revived the show 20 years after it was axed by ITV

Survivor has opened registrations for the upcoming revival series to air next year on the TSTIME.

The reality TV series, which aired its original UK version on ITV from 2001 to 2002, returns to the screens 20 years after its halt.

Applications are now open for those hoping to participate on SurvivorUK.com and will close on February 23.

The website states: ‘Survivor is a unique competition of social, mental and physical skills, where a group of individuals are cast out in a remote location to try to win the ultimate competition.

TSTIME One and TSTIME iPlayer welcome 16-hour episodes of the physical and psychological game show.

A collection of 20 selected players from around the UK will be divided into two ‘tribes’ and face each other in a series of challenges as they become stranded in a tropical location to be crowned the Ultimate Survivor.

After a series of eliminations that will take place at the iconic tribal council, the tribes will finally merge before one person takes away a cash prize proving they have what it takes to be the Ultimate Survivor.

Survivors was suspended by ITV after the second series in 2002 failed to increase viewership.
