The Telangana government on Wednesday announced a cash prize of Rs 2 crore each to boxer Nikhat Zareen for winning the gold medal at the recently held Women’s World Boxing Championship in Turkey, and Esha Singh who won the gold medal in gold at the ISSF Junior World Cup shooting event in Germany. An official statement said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had decided to allocate residential land for the two sportsmen at Banjara Hills or Jubilee Hills in the city.

A separate statement from the Chief Minister’s office said that the Telangana government had issued an order to hand over a cash prize of Rs 1 crore to Kinnera Metla artist and Padma Shri award winner, Darshanam Mogulaiah.

Based on a request from Mogulaiah, the government has taken the decision to allocate residential land here in BN Reddy Nagar settlement.
