Danish hypercar maker Zenvo has unveiled a new model called the TSR-GT that trades the stripped-down race car vibes of the TSR-S for a more luxurious setup.
Limited to just three units worldwide, and already sold out, the TSR-GT is more focused on comfort and top speed than the company’s previous track-focused models. The rear wing of the TSR-S, which tilted sideways to generate downforce during cornering, has been replaced by a smaller fixed wing.
The GT features a new set of more aerodynamic wheels with docs covers designed to reduce drag, and power from the twin-supercharged 5.8-litre V8 engine has been increased from 1,193 horsepower to 1,379 horsepower.
The extra power comes from Zenvo’s new Power Pack upgrade. The company says: “The powerplant’s in-house build and development team has improved the volumetric efficiency of the engine through an improved intake plenum and exhaust manifold,” adding: “The Power Pack includes a flex-fuel sensor, which means that it can run on more sustainable high ethanol E85 fuel – in addition to other readily available pump fuels – giving the TSR-GTs longevity in the modern world.
Thanks to the aerodynamic improvements, the extra power and a modified gearbox with a longer final drive, the top speed has risen sharply, from 325 km/h to 420 km/h. Zenvo says that figure is limited, suggesting even more is possible. While the final drive ratio has changed, the car retains Zenvo’s signature single-clutch, helical-gear claw-engage transmission and a reputation for relentless shifting.
A so-called grand touring specification sees the TSR-S’s bare carbon fiber interior replaced with leather on the dash, seats and steering wheels. The carbon floors are covered in velor mats with leather trim to reduce cabin noise.
Zenvo says the GT will be the last car built on the company’s TS platform, which was created in 2016 and is intended for the TSR race car, before it is also adopted by the TSR-S street-legal hypercar. The company plans to unveil an all-new car in the third quarter of 2023.
Zenvo’s chief commercial officer Jens Sverdrup said: “A new era beckons for Zenvo, but before then we have created our interpretation of a GT variant of the TS platform. We will only make three models, all of which will be assigned to global collectors.
