Hokuto, Yamanashi Pref. – Ukrainian government officials on Tuesday inspected landmine removal equipment at an educational institution in Hokuto, Yamanashi prefecture.
Ukraine needs about 60 landmine clearing machines and hopes to get Japan’s help, said Stanislav Kulykivsky, head of the international technical assistance department of Ukraine’s emergency response service.
He was one of nine State Emergency Service officials to visit the facility.
